Top trends for AW13: Wine Country

wine blog

After checking out our tough boots and heels with attitude in the Gothic Glam trend, and the beautiful embellished loafers in the Sweet Dreams trend, we’re now ready for a new look! So next up in our mini series of top trends for autumn/winter 2013 is the Wine Country trend!

Burgundy, bordeaux or claret, no we’re not trying to decide what we want to drink! These are this season’s hottest colours!  This collection represents a heady mix of gorgeous rich reds and burgundys that will update your autumn look for 2013. Here’s our top picks…

Elegant, shiny and a gorgeous shade of red – what more could you want for a pair or autumn heels? These Arles heels from Jonak are sophisticated and ladylike and would add oomph to any outfit.

Or what about these gorgeous Octave ankle boots from Mellow Yellow? Their stacked heel means they’re comfortable enough to wear all day while giving you a bit of height and lengthening the leg and the lovely red suede colour would look perfect with jeans, khaki and black.

If it’s impact you’re going for then these Shellys Potak lace-up ankle boots are perfect. Admittedly not the easiest of heel heights for a day spent on your feet but the hidden platform makes them manageable and the gorgeous crushed velvet texture makes us want to stroke them all day long! We’re in love.SHELLYS LONDON Potak

From super high, to super comfortable, these Veja Arcade W trainers are perfect for the weekends and when you’re on the move. Their fun pink spots and high-quality suede detailing means you can stay practical while looking stylish!

What do you think of this trend? Are the rich reds making your mouth water or do you prefer a different colour palette?

I love this colour for autumn. Also recommend the Clarks Alfresco Art wooden heel lace-ups.
