Wahoo!! It’s that time of year again…festivals, weddings, Wimbledon…and the summer sales!
We’ve survived one of the most miserable winters/springs in years, and now it’s finally time (we hope!) to enjoy a bit of sunshine. For me, the June sales are the perfect time to stock up on clothes for my summer holidays. I only wish it was warm enough at home to wear sandals a bit more often!
Here’s my sale wishlist complete with shoes for my holiday in a couple of months. What’s yours?
I already have one pair of Birkenstocks, and they’re quite possibly the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned! I’ve had them for years, though, and I’d love a new pair for my summer holiday. I’m going on a cruise to Greece, so I’m pretty sure there will be lots of walking involved. And it will be hot. So comfort is a top priority! These appropriately-named Sparta sandals would be absolutely perfect…and they’re on sale with 30% off
One of the things I’m most excited about for the cruise is the captain’s dinner–like any girl, I love a good excuse to dust off my favourite cocktail dresses and play dress up for a night. I’m looking for some new high heels for the occasion, and I’ve fallen hard for these Jeffrey Campbell shoes. They’re not as edgy as typical Jeffrey Campbells, so they’re still apropriate for a formal occasion. However, the prism heel and ankle strap spice them up just enough to keep things interesting!
Another summer essential for me is a pretty pair of wedge sandals. To me, wedge heels add a touch of class to a casual summer outfit, perfect for a brunch with the girls or a seaside Grecian lunch, for example…Ash makes loads of fab wedge trainers, but they also have a great selection of traditional wedges as well. These pink Ash wedges immediately caught my eye as they’re very much my style–pink, feminine, and not extremely high.
And finally, no holiday would be complete without plenty of poolside relaxation! I’m looking for a pair of inexpensive, practical sandals to wear around the cruise ship during the day, and I think these Camper sandals would be perfect. They’re a bargain at 50% off, and they’re practical without sacrificing style.
