Our Sarenza team is made of employees from all over the world. From Bolivia to Poland to the United States, we represent over 12 different nationalities!
We love working in such a diverse environment and engaging in daily cultural exchanges, like sharing the latest fashion trends from across the globe! We decided to feature one international Sarenza employee every couple of weeks to highlight the style from their country…and what better country to start with than the U.K.?
Who’s that girl?
It’s Eleanor, 25 years old from Sheffield and one of our fab Paris-based marketing assistants for www.sarenza.co.uk. She loves reading, runs several times a week, and of course follows fashion very closely (yep, she’s pretty much perfect!). Since she’s arrived in France, the gorgeous Eleanor’s been able to help our French coworkers practice their English and teach everyone about British style.
Scroll down to read our Q&A…
Sarenza: High heels or flats?
Eleanor: Flat shoes for the daytime, high heels for going out! (Yep, she’s definitely English…)
S: Why did you choose Converse shoes for your look?
E : You always look cool in Converses, and you don’t have to worry about being over the top!
S: Speaking of going out…what is your favourite spot to relax in Paris?
E: I really like the bar Kitch near Oberkampf for a drink…I always get nostalgic when I go to back here as it was the first bar I went to when I arrived in Paris. I went with my new flat mates and didn’t understand a word anyone was saying, but just tried to smile at the right moments while drinking my “Shrek” drink! It’s the house speciality and a definite “must have” if you visit!
S: And what about in London?
E: I like going to Barrio North when I’m in London because it has fun and energetic Latino vibes, funky decor, cool music and super friendly people. You can go looking really smart or really casual and never feel out of place. Plus the cocktails are amazing! My favourite is the jitter bug.
S: In your opinion, what is the most popular shoe brand among British fashionistas?
E : I’d say…Kat Maconie! This brand has styles that are really original, both beautiful and eye-catching at the same time. I have a definite weakness for these…
S: After living in France, what would you say is the difference between a French shoe-addict and an British one?
E: I’ve found that French women usually go for a more “subtle chic” look. For the British girls, we love to express our personality through our outfits and choose bright looks to stand out in a crowd!
This is no surprise, considering that the Jeffrey Campbell Lita is one of the UK’s top selling shoe styles:
…along with the bizarrely popular Creepers!
S : What shoes are you lusting over right now?
E: This pair of Vans leopard hi-tops…because I NEED a new pair of trainers, and leopard print is timeless (at least for me)!
Thanks, Eleanor! Until next time xx
