Shoes on Sale! 30% off on Bertie, Carvela & more

The Sarenza mid-season sale is now underway! That makes this week the perfect time for a bit of early Christmas shopping…even if you’re just looking at gifts for yourself.

Here’s how it works: choose any items marked with a blue snowflake. Then enter the code MIDSEASON100UK in your order basket when it’s time to check out. You’ll receive a 30% discount on orders over £100!

And don’t worry, this sale isn’t just for clearance items that were popular 10 years ago–there are over 10,000 different styles to choose from. That many shoes on sale can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve gone through and chosen my top picks from the sale selection to help you get started:

1. Bertie biker boots

Bertie Neci

These Bertie boots are really on-trend at the moment with the military green colour and biker-boot cut. But the great thing is that they aren’t so wrapped up in being “in style” (i.e. covered in camo print or 3 inch spikes) that they’ll still be wearable for a long time to come. They’re quite sturdy and weather-resistant as well, which of course is always super important when selecting shoes for the UK!

2. French Connection platform heelsFrench Connection JanessaA pair of nice neutral heels is an absolute necessity for any woman’s shoe closet, and I think these French Connection platform heels fit the bill perfectly. They’re not quite nude, so they’re a bit more interesting and easier to wear year-round. They’ll match just about anything, and the platform makes them easy to walk in. The mid-season sale makes now the perfect time to invest in a staple piece like these gorgeous shoes!

3. Kenzo half-wellies

Kenzo hypeI love wellies for keeping my feet dry when it rains, but I hate the stiff rubber calf that makes them so clunky and awkward to move around in. Then I saw these Kenzo boots and immediately fell in love! The bottom bit is your typical welly rubber, but the calf part is made from a softer synthetic so that you can wear wellies comfortably all day long. You don’t have to worry about the top getting ruined since it’s synthetic as well–it’s just a more comfortable version of hard welly plastic!

4. Carvela shoe boots

Carvela StartThese little black shoe boots from Carvela are another timeless wardrobe essential like the French Connection heels above. Easy to wear and never out of style, shoes like this are a dream come true for those of us who can’t buy a unique pair of shoes for every single outfit. A lot of Carvela shoes have a decidely “party” or “office” vibe to them, but these boots would work beautifully in either setting.

5. Dune party shoes

Dune GwynethThese strappy heels from Dune are my dream shoes for the 2012 Christmas party season.  The shiny burgundy reminds of cinnamon, ribbon, and cider…what could be more Christmasy than that? I know that winter and sandal heels don’t necessarily mix…but I think a pair of nude stockings would look just fine with these shoes. If anyone else has any tips on how to wear strappy heels in the dead of winter, please share!

The mid-season sale only lasts until the 13th, so be sure to check it out soon before the best styles have all sold out! Happy shopping :)

Have a great weekend!
