Terry De Havilland, one of the most iconic shoe designer’s in the biz for more than 50 years, cut his first pair of shoes for the family business in 1957. From then on, he never stopped, leading his career to the point where by in the 1980s, De Havilland was making over 800 pairs of shoes a day for worldwide sales.
There are too many celebrities to count among his faithful customers: from Cher, Twiggy and David Bowie in the 60s/70s, to Lily Allen, Sienna Miller or Amy Winehouse in the 2000′s. Kate Moss even personally asked him to design her honeymoon heels… Terry De Havilland shoes were also featured in top Fashion shows and pushed the boundaries of the Fashion World by producing shoes for the big screen such as in 2001 when he designed Angelina Jolie’s boots for the Tomb Raider film.
Luckily for us, Terry De Havilland is now available to everyone! Sarenza carries one of his most iconic designs in the Margaux shoe; inspired by Hollywood in the 40′s, they are made of python and are available in multiple colours. Another favourite of mine present in the SS12 Collection is the unique, futuristic Zia style, a disco glam-rock shoe that will make you shine whatever the occasion!
