The Sarenza Christmas “Sparty!”

The office party has become as synonymous with Christmas as Turkey and Santa Claus, which is a great thing as far as I’m concerned as I love a good old fashioned knees up around this time of year!
Since living over here, I’ve found that French people love themed parties and take them as seriously as they do their wine and fine dining. The theme of our Christmas party was ‘S’ for Sarenza and it was announced that the employee with the best costume would scoop a special prize.
Representing our British roots, me and Eleanor came up with the idea of dressing like our beloved childhood heroes; the Spice Girls and recruited a few members of the international team for help. Needless to say, this led to plenty of nostalgic music video watching and fun outfit planning! Luckily for me I was Scary Spice – who was blatantly always the coolest one
, so I got to throw on my favourite animal print and even got to borrow a pair of Anneca’s Jeffrey Campbell platforms, which have previously been featured on the blog.

Girl Power!
There were lots of fantastic outfits, from Sister Act, Super Mario and even a Scooby Doo! In the end it was Cynthia (who’s style has featured in our blog before) who scooped the I pad prize for her rather inspiring Christmas tree outfit – ‘‘Sapin Noel’) in French, which came complete with flashing fairy lights, and present-shaped shoes!

The party had all the ingredients of a fantastic Christmas party –plenty of nice nibbles, champagne, secret Santa and drunk dancing. In the true spirit of our girl power, us International Spice Girls took to the front of the page and danced and mimed our way through ‘Wannabe’…I won’t be giving the day job up any time soon!

I'm sure the Spice Girls danced and sang with champagne glasses in their hands all the time
Hope you all have fun at your various festive parties and have yourself a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
