Autumn in Paris

If this blog has posted successfully using the auto-thing that I just discovered on word press, then by the time you read this, I’ll be on holiday in Greece, hopefully sunning myself and sipping cocktails by the pool side and (again this blog does not condone copious amounts of alcohol drinking, but this is my first holiday in two years!)

Despite my overdue holiday, I’m a little bit excited to be returning to Paris, as this year I am really looking forward to autumn. People always say that Paris in spring is when the city is at its most beautiful, but in the last few weeks, Paris for me has been great. The trees are all going a nice golden orange colour, the sun is still shining so the nights are still long enough to enjoy outdoor picnics and alfresco dining, but now there’s a slight breeze in the air, we can go out without all the pressure of having to look fantastic in maxi dresses and bikinis (it’s fun at first, but for me, the maintenance of being a permanent summer goddess is too much hard work!)

Here are some of the pretty autumn views I take in on my walk to work in the morning:

A view of the Sun rising over the Eiffel Tower through the trees...romantic much?!

...more trees

...even MORE trees!

Of course, as I have said previously in this blog, the arrival of the new season also means a pretty new shoe collection! I am getting can start to get excited about a new autumn wardrobe, because it’s still warm enough to buy fun ankle boots and back to work shoes, without having to worry too much about the cold temperatures – I’ll definitely be using the retail therapy as a way to beat my post holiday blues!

Wow! Autumn Paris looks beautiful! And, such a pretty walk to work! Once I get back to London I’ll be itching to go! Bring on Sarenza’s autumn men’s collection! :)
