Summer Sandals: The Edit
0 comment(s)
With the weather now reaching the dizzy heights of 26°C on a regular basis here in Paris, it has all-very-suddenly become unacceptable to wear boots or any other form of winter footwear. Step forward the summer sandal. Not by any means a new addition to the summer wardrobe, in fact so ubiquitous at this time of year that it’s difficult to know where to begin looking for that perfect pair. With the widest range of shoe brands in the UK, I’ve had a tough job narrowing it down, but I present to you my edited selection.
A new addition to the Sarenza brand, British favourite Carvela have designed this beautifully ethereal pair. Embellished with flowers and in a rose pink shade, they will go best with chiffon skirts and silk dresses for a romantic look.
Less romance and more go-with-everything, these black sandals from another new recruit, French Connection, will fulfill the hole that your winter boots have left behind. Team with jeans, skirts, dresses, trousers and shorts, there isn’t a look for which these sandals won’t work.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Emma Go have also recently joined the Sarenza brand. The pale gold sandals are a summer classic; they make me think of warm summer nights in exotic places.
From our boutique range, these Erika sandals from See By Chloé have achieved the near impossible feat of being both fun and sophisticated at the same time. The tan shade and simple shape mean that you’ll be able to wear them again and again, justifying the higher price tag.
In case you didn’t know by now, bright colours are pretty big this season. These banana yellow sandals from Chie Mihara are a great way to try the colour blocking trend.
These super fashionable sandals from Vicini are my pick of the bunch. The perfect occasion sandal, in bold leopard print, they are guaranteed to be on trend season after season.
