Spring/summer trend 2011: block colouring

This season, block-coloured outfits are dominating the fashion scene, with pretty pinks, bright oranges and gorgeous greens taking over from the traditional pastel colours normally associated with spring.

The great thing about this latest trend, is that there is a colour out there to suit everyone. Block colouring usually involves fairly simple outfits that are bold in colour, but simple in design, creating a look that is chic without being too extravagant.  This is great for any fashionista who wants to stay on trend, without going overboard.

Block colouring gives you the perfect opportunity to show off with a pair of statement shoes, and with over 300 brands and 10,000 styles, Sarenza has an eclectic mix of shoes from all colours of the rainbow.

This pair of Ernesto Esposito shoes has been Sarenza’s choice for our spring/summer advertising campaign and it’s not hard to see why. All the colours are in a beautiful contrast to each other, whilst the stiletto heel is impressive to say the least. The perfect going out shoe, if you want to add an extra quirkiness to the outfit, then they also look great with a pair of green, yellow or pink socks. (see above)

These Carvela platforms are chic, feminine and fun. With block colouring, it is often quite common to mix two bold colours together. With this particular pair, the purple and the pink complement each other beautifully.

The platform wedge on these Studio TMLS shoes is enough to create a confident summer look all on its own! The bright orange would look great matched with other earthy colours, like greens and browns, creating a bohemian inspired outfit.

These Friis&Company sandals are a mix of light and dark khaki, which is perfect for a more casual inspired outfit, as it can pretty much match any colour.  The style of the shoe itself is an interesting take on the gladiator design, which will look great with different types of summer outfits.

Block colouring isn’t just for women. For our male shoe addicts, we recommend these Marvin&Co loafers and these red Clarks Originals shoes:
