Moon Boots

It seems like only yesterday that I was talking about making the transition from summer to autumn boots, now, with the days getting shorter and the weather getting much colder and wetter, it’s time to admit it…winter is here already.

One of our predictions for this winter’s bestsellers is the Italian brand Moon Boot by Tecnica.

After being inspired by the design of the boots used by the astronauts for the Moon Landing, Giancarlo Zanatta, the creator, invented his own style of “Moon Boots” in 1969, which were primarily used for walking in the snow and skiing.

What started off as a trendy skiing accessory has now turned into a symbol of style for the 21^st Century.

Over the last two years, with arctic weather dominating the winter months, Moon Boots have not only been great for winter wardrobe ensembles, but also really practical footwear for trudging through the snow when public transport grinds to a hault!
