A spring wardrobe would not be complete without the fashionista’s classic choice of flat footwear: the ballet pump. Its chic appeal makes this design a ‘must have’ for every woman – from hip teen to glamorous Gran.
Bloch is one of the original ballet pump manufacturers. Jacob Bloch, a Russian emigrant to Australia, began making shoes for dancers in Sydney in the 1930s – it was his mission to make comfortable pointe shoes adapted to a dancer’s foot and supportive for the range of her movements.
The Bloch shoemaking tradition continues to this day. Bloch pumps are highly comfortable with extra-flexible soles, a feature appreciated by any busy woman on the go. We’ve all wished for a pair of flats to change into after a long day or late evening.
Fresh for the warmer weather, I have my eye on the Luxury Ballet Flat, which comes in a range of summer brights or the original Classic Pearl. These will go perfectly with lightly tanned legs and a loose-fit shirtdress or rolled ankle length trousers. Some shades only have a few sizes left so don’t miss out!
